Do apricot seeds really help in fighting cancer?

Well, for starters; there is no documented scientific evidence that this product has ever worked for any cancer patients. Studies that have been conducted indicate that it doesn't have any adverse effect on tumours and they in fact continue to grow.

Raw apricot seeds, Laetrile, Amygdalin Vitamin B-17!! Well let us just call it by what it really is and that is Cyanide! As there is no such thing as vitamin B-17, it is just a friendly name for Cyanide, as I'm sure people would more easily take a vitamin, as opposed to Cyanide.

However, I believe that there was one case that claimed success with this treatment. but as with many of these quack remedies it was not scientifically monitored or fully documented. Consider the many thousands of people that are treated and saved using proven medicine and treatment, I guess you need to ask yourself are you "feeling lucky" to eat Apricot kernels (Cyanide) on the chance that it may cure and that you may be the second successful case?

Sorry to say there are all too many claims floating around of such miraculous undocumented or scientifically verifiable treatments, which prey on those in need the most!

So, if the Cyanide doesn't kill you, then the untreated cancer probably will!

Can u give me some advice on fertilizing fruit trees--apricot, loquat and apple?

Those fruit stakes are good. You can also see if there are any pruning clinics at local stores ... (They used to have free flyers at that one in Fremont just past Mission Blvd. I like that store) There is probably stuff online too. Generally, you want to keep the center "open" and trim the height. You don't want branches to touch each other.

Also - once the fruit starts to set as little hard green buds, you can trim 1/2 off them off. This will let the tree concentrate it's energy on making the ones left on it bigger. Finally, I can't recall right now, but you might find out if you should be spraying the apricot for leaf-curl (I know you do that for peaches) (We never fertilized the apple trees in our backyard ... )

Soak 100 g of dried apricots overnight in just enough water to cover. Add 100 g of sugar and simmer slowly until the apricots are really soft. Add more water a spoonful at a time if in danger of burning and stir. Cool, then push through a sieve and it will be fine for tart making.

Personally, I would just buy a jar of jam or use any jam to hand. It really does not HAVE to be apricot after all. Good luck!

This workes well with raspberries, and I think it will work with apricots. Take about a quarter of your apricots, peel and slice them. Put them in a pot with about a cup of sugar and a half a cup of water and boil them on medium heat. Reduce the mix until it is about as thick as a cream style soup. This will make what is called a coulis. The sugar and water should puree the fruit and give you a smooth sauce. mix that with the rest of your fruit, and bake it off like normal. The procedure I just gave can be used on any soft fruit to make a dessert sauce. If you need to put in the blender and puree it.

Wash the pit in 20% bleach (1 part bleach, 9 parts water) for one minute, rinse, dry, then put it in the refrigerator, in a plastic bag, for 6 weeks. Then carefully crack open the pit, remove the seed inside, soak the seed for 2 days in water (there are naturally occurring chemical germination inhibitors in the seed) then plant the seed.
