She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000. Doctors have used conventional cancer treatments, including surgery, radiation and taking multiple medications, which lasted several years. She did not like at all. In 2005 she was diagnosed with an incurable disease. This time he chose to consider their options. He landed in a program of alternative therapies against cancer, which included a strong emphasis on nutrition in cancer. She now lives as a result of this decision. He dedicated his life to helping others with their course of cancer treatment. My goal is to help others to help Colleen. I truly believe that cancer prevention in most cases.

Have cancer and increases the rate of cancer survival is improving a little, "because the symptoms are recognized and diagnosed before the cancer. And many people are not diagnosed or those of parents with a diagnosis of cancer can be chosen better than the alternatives to traditional methods of treatment for cancer. you know, it may not be the treatment of cancer through the traditional practice of burning with radiation, poisoning with chemotherapy or removal by surgery, which is best for them. But one thing is two worlds, the traditional and alternative cancer treatment cancer therapy, healthy eating is essential.

In the world of alternative therapies for cancer, an anti-cancer foods that for some of the strongest anti-cancer properties of the seeds of apricots and apricot kernels, such as conversations. Apricot kernels are sweet, bitter almond, almond-shaped box. Apricot seeds contain something called amygdalin.

In 1952, suggested a biochemist in San Francisco named Dr. Ernst Krebs, Jr., that cancer is a metabolic reaction to a poor diet, a nutrient that is lacking in the diet of modern man, is the key Prevention and treatment of cancer. He believed that the plans have been prepared on the basis of artificial processed foods and the main reason behind the compromise the human immune system. His research has led to a compound called amygdalin, which conducted more than 1,200 edible plants in nature. It is also known as vitamin B 17 and the extract is known as Laetrile.

Amygdalin is the highest concentration of enzymes found necessary and apricot kernels. A primitive tribe in the mountains of Pakistan in the Hunza, was for large quantities of apricot kernels known and those who have lived in their natural food, the seeds of apricots, and the consumption of many other organic food does not contain a single case was cancer and lived a long and healthy life. Many other groups with apricot kernel similar programs have little or no cancer.

Apricot kernels are available to consumers, laetrile now, because in 1971 the Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. government (FDA) banned laetrile. Many believe that the ban was made because Laetrile was a source of natural food that can not be patented or controlled by large pharmaceutical companies for profit, as drugs against cancer and conventional cancer therapies. There was a lot of misinformation published in apricot kernels.

The common belief pharmaceutical companies and doctors are encouraged that the apricot seeds toxic. This is true at some point. Organic apricot seeds contain cyanide and benzaldyhide, but like many other foods such as almonds, beans, spinach, soy and bamboo shoots, to name a few. Many organic foods can be safe with cyanide, because cyanide remains bound and blocked as part of another molecule and cause damage.

This is an enzyme, rhodanese, which in normal healthy human cells, but not in tumor cells. It affects almost all the molecules and neutralize free cyanide, of course, by combining with sulfur. You are a cyanate, which is a neutral substance, is converted urine and easily and without damaging healthy cells.

But it is a beta-glucosidase enzyme, which is found only in tumor cells, and is considered the "unlocking enzyme" amygdalin molecules. Benzaldyhide to work for free cyanide and organic enzymes to protect healthy cells to attack and destroy cancer cells. Health is not the cancer cells are destroyed in this natural process.

When you consider what is good for you, offering cancer therapies in the natural world have a wide range of alternatives. Apricot kernels are used by many people in his lesson plan for cancer prevention, cancer treatment.
At the request of my wife, I brewed this up and it's been a staple on those hot summer nights.

American Wheat Beer with Apricot - Extract with Steeped Grains

Ingredients for 5 U.S. gallons (38 L)

6.6 lb (4.5 kg) American wheat malt liquid extract

1.0 lb (0.9 kg) Carapils

1.25 oz (35 g) Cascade whole hops, ~7.8% alpha acid (60 min.)

0.75 oz (35 g) Cascade whole hops, ~7.8% alpha acid (20 min.)

1 Can - Apricot Puree

4oz bottle of apricot flavoring

Wyeast 1010 - American Wheat

Bottled carbonated with 4.5 ounces dextrose

Irish moss to clarify (1 Tbs)

Original Specific Gravity: 1.046

Final Specific Gravity: 1.012

Boiling Time: 60 min

1. Heat 3 gallons of water and include your grains (in a grain bag) in the pot. Remove the grains when the water reaches 170ºF.
2. When the water reaches 170, pull it off the heat and stir in the two cans (6.6lbs) of Wheat Extract so it is completely dissolved
3. Place pot back on the heat and bring to a boil. As soon as it reaches a full boil, start the 60 min countdown and add your first set of hops.
4. At 20 minutes left, add your second hop addition.
5. At 15 minutes left, add the irish moss.
6. When the 60 minutes is over, remove the hop bags and put the lid on the pot. Place the pot into an ice bath and cool down as fast as possible to about 70-75 degrees.
7. When the wort is cooled down, pour it into your plastic fermenter. Top off with cool water to 5 gallons.
8. Aerate your yeast by vigorous shaking, stirring, or pouring back and forth.
9. Pitch the yeast, seal the fermenter, and add the air lock. Place in an area with an ambient temp around 68F.
10. After the first 3 or so days, the violent fermentation should subside and you can add the can of puree to the primary fermenter.

Now you have to wait about 7 more days and it's ready for bottling. This is a wheat beer so no secondary fermentation is necessary. Prior to bottling, rack your wort into a bottling bucket. Here is where you will add your apricot flavoring. I used the entire bottle, but you can add as much (to taste) as you want.

Bottle condition for about 2 weeks and you're ready to chill and drink.
This is a "country" or a small church "family" in the sense that it was out of town and is an important part of the church of 150 members, due to a dozen families who had land and lived near the church. My maternal grandmother was in this church until his death, and my mother is still there. My grandparents are not good land near the church. They lived on the road to the church for a time, "where my mother grew up. I do not think I'm an outsider. We live in the greatest city in the province, the "capital", where I went to school. The other children of the Church was at school in the city, but one of the small towns. otherwise particularly since high school and middle is me.

I'm not bitter, and make everyone do a reprimand. That's life, and their children. But this time it was terrible. My observation is that most girls have been proud of my Sunday school, and that I wanted to exclude hidden. But it is not Mary. It's been about a year younger than me, and one of the sweetest girls I ever met. He was always kind to me, and for that matter. He never made me feel excluded or left out or awkward or invisible.

Marie was once my name for the exchange of Christmas. He gave me a gift package with three bars of soap Crabtree and Evelyn, apricot kernel oil. I have never bought for myself, my family was very sensitive to the "madness". We have used Dial. And I've never been there like a perfume. But this soap is heavenly! For me it was the slightest hint of sweet tea. I loved this soap, and started buying for years. He was interrupted at one point, and I could not source a little bit "to be saved. And again," as part of the last line of Crabtree and Evelyn, then stopped again. I have re- check a couple of times a year, is still awaiting one more time before the production and sale.

10 years ago, my mother told me that Mary had breast cancer. He struggled for many years. He lost the battle and died at the age of 42. She had a husband and two boys. I think of Mary, sweet Mary, soap and gently sweet apricots. So I'll start writing for Crabtree and Evelyn, and ask for the reintroduction of soap, oil, apricot kernel, in honor of Mary, and examine the person whose life has been affected by breast cancer .

Here is a copy of my letter to Crabtree and Evelyn

I am writing to request that the previous product, Apricot Kernal Oil Soap. I have this product for many years, since I was a teenager in the 70s. I saw this product disappear, appear and disappear again. Over the years, I checked every two months to see if this product back in the line of Crabtree and Evelyn were.

I received a box of 3 bars in an exchange of Christmas gifts in a Sunday school. There was a girl named Maria. Mary died of breast cancer 10 years ago, at the tender age of 42. She had a husband and two children. I ask you to raise the issue and consider the marketing of new products with a percentage of charity for breast cancer.

You want a letter, as Crabtree & Evelyn, to manufacture soap Apricot Kernal needed again, with some products are going to write the love of my chest, it would be good. If you are inspired by another company, the other thing that is too large to support the writing! They are all paid. Act!
Studies that have been conducted indicate that it doesn't have any adverse effect on tumours and they in fact continue to grow.

Raw apricot seeds, Laetrile, Amygdalin Vitamin B-17!! Well let us just call it by what it really is and that is Cyanide! As there is no such thing as vitamin B-17, it is just a friendly name for Cyanide, as I'm sure people would more easily take a vitamin, as opposed to Cyanide.

However, I believe that there was one case that claimed success with this treatment. but as with many of these quack remedies it was not scientifically monitored or fully documented. Consider the many thousands of people that are treated and saved using proven medicine and treatment, I guess you need to ask yourself are you "feeling lucky" to eat Apricot kernels (Cyanide) on the chance that it may cure and that you may be the second successful case?

Those fruit stakes are good. You can also see if there are any pruning clinics at local stores ... (They used to have free flyers at that one in Fremont just past Mission Blvd. I like that store) There is probably stuff online too. Generally, you want to keep the center "open" and trim the height. You don't want branches to touch each other.

Also - once the fruit starts to set as little hard green buds, you can trim 1/2 off them off. This will let the tree concentrate it's energy on making the ones left on it bigger. Finally, I can't recall right now, but you might find out if you should be spraying the apricot for leaf-curl (I know you do that for peaches) (We never fertilized the apple trees in our backyard ... )

I have a recipe that calls for Apricot Nectar but I only have Apricot Jam. Can I use the jam?

IF YOU DON'T HAVE APRICOT NECTAR YOU CAN USE THE JUICE FROM A CAN OF PEACHES, NECTAR IS USUALLY THE JUICE OF A FRUIT PRODUCT. APRICOT JAM IS NOT QUITE WHAT YOU WANT BUT MAYBE YOU CAN TRY DILUTING IT AND HEATING IT IN A SAUCE PAN TO THIN IT OUT. MAYBE 3/4 CUP OF JAM AND 1/4 CUP ORANGE JUICE OR PEACH JUICE.

How do I grow a apricot tree from seed?

After it's been refrigerated, you can plant it. Then wait and see if it grows. Good luck.

At what time of the year should I plant an apricot tree in NSW, Australia?

Plant one when it is bare-rooted in winter. Try a fruit tree nursery. Often alot of fruit trees aren't sold until the end of autumn. Daleys (spelling?) nursery does a mail order too their website is easy to find. I haven't tried them (I don't think they post to WA) but I see that they have alot of nice fruit trees. I prune my apricot in winter and feed with a fruit tree slow release fertilizer. Good luck, and enjoy the taste of your home-grown apricots!

Why does apricot skin split open before it is ripe?

Probably too much water. Don't water the tree every day

Where can I find a mini poodle apricot colored?

You would have to contact a reputable miniature poodle breeder and ask to be put on a waiting list for an apricot color. It may be a long wait tho - reputable breeders sometimes limit what colors they breed; others breed a variety. Type is more important then coat color.

What sort of side dish should I make with apricot-glazed pork loin?

You want to offset the sweetness of the glaze with something a little sour. Maybe steamed veggies with lemon or a lemon sauce.Pumpkin is too sweet even on it's own and squash may be kind of heavy. A mushroom risotto might also be good paired with the veggies

How to treat seemingly-diseased apricot tree?

I hate to start out on a negative note, so let me say good for you for trying to save your tree! I believe you have one of several types of boring insects, they are the larvae of beetles or maybe some kind of moth. Usually they bore in right to the site were the trunk was grafted to the root stock. But no matter. It sounds like you have these borers/whitish colored worms/maggots in your tree.

My guess is that at this point NO saving the tree! Again not your fault. BUT, try, go to a garden store, explain the sap or gumming problem and ask for a systemic that will be either absorbed through the roots or the leaves,Roots are best, This will ONLY save the healthy part of the tree, it will not restore anything that is all ready damaged! SORRY.

What can i substitute an apricot jam glaze for in a hot cross bun recipe?

Either the strawberry jam glaze or just the sugar & water glaze will both work fine. I always just use a sugar & water glaze as I hate apricot jam, and I sell dozens of buns in my shop this time of year, so it certainly work fine for me. Enjoy your baking & Happy Easter!

Which oil is better to apply to my entire body? Jojoba or Apricot oil?

jojoba its the only oil the resemble the natural oils of the skin

Someone drove into my yard and killed my Apricot full grown tree. How much do I ask for payback?

If you are trying to find a figure to submit for small claims court then perhaps consider asking what the city would charge you if you were to accidentally knock down the same type or similar full grown tree that is protected by law. Some cities have strict rules and heavy fines regarding trees. If the law protects the tree and if you are doing work on your property, building for instance, then some cities require you to put down a good chunk of money for a deposit in case you damage the tree. One of our neighbours paid $10,000 to the city that retained the money until the completion of the work that was being done on their property. They later got their money back. But that tree was at least twice the size and age that yours was.

Is Strawberry or apricot jam bad for cats?

Cats digestive systems are not designed to assimilate the sugars in jams and preserves. Want to give your cat a treat; throw it some raw hamburg.

Can I start an apricot plant from seed?

If the tree gave fruit after it is 3-5 years old it will not taste like the apricot it was taken out of. It would be fun growing a tree. Buying a tree would be better. It will give good fruit. And sooner.

Can I use the St.Ives apricot scrub for blemish control on my forehead with pimples?

It should be just fine. In fact, if you looked at a product from the same manufacturer that was specifically for pimples instead of blemish and blackheads (which a pimple is considered a blemish), it would likely be the same product in a different package. It's a marketing and sales technique to sell you different products that are essentially the same thing.

Is APRICOT facial scrub safe during pregnancy?

I don't see why it wouldn't be.. unless you are eating it.

My apricot tree did not produce fruits this year?

Believe it or not there are trees that are like male trees and female trees.... and depending on the exact type of tree the "female" needs to be polinated by the "male" or something like that..... so if there was another apricot tree in your area and it got cut down or died or anything like that.... that could be your problem right there....

Does anyone know where i can find apricot colored feathers?

Try ebay--- they seem to have everything. Put it on a watch list and e-mail will notify you when something comes up for sale. Also, try e-mailing or contacting the magazine. They usually have the sources of which their pictures and products came from. Good luck

Will an apricot seed grow into a nice tree and have fruit on it?

Most fruit trees are grafts on root stocks. It ensures a healthier tree and better fruit production. Plus you can get a dwarf tree so it doesn't out grow its location. Better to buy a tree from a nursery.
Apricot seeds were used for the treatment of tumors in 502 AD. Apricot seeds are taken by many as a cure for cancer because they contain high doses of vitamin B17, an immune system. Apricot seeds are an important source of cyanogenic glycosides and laetrile, which is a form of treatment or cancer.

Cancer

Cancer has surpassed heart disease as the cause of death of Americans under age 85. Cancer is now expected that every second man and more than 1 in 3 women beat the world in their lives. Cancer occurs only after an absence of direct carcinogens known as laetrile and cancer actually contribute only more pressure on the body, such as tumors by the lack of laetrile excretions. Cancer cells have exactly the same functions. Cancer, by definition, is a chronic metabolic disease and should be treated as such. Cancer is a systemic failure of the immune system and cell communication. Cancer patients who responded laetrile is not repeated when it is stored in the laetrile treatment.
Seeds

Many top scientists say the world which, when eaten, the seeds of apricots, 100%, it would be impossible to develop cancer. Special ingredients in the first half of the apricot is proven for decades to kill existing cancer in most cases. Fresh apricot seed is a nice tan. Apricot shirt are not suitable as a dietary supplement. If you are a regular user of apricot kernels, you know the difference. When apricot seeds are burned at high temperatures, which makes skin shiny kernels are cooked. Apricot shirt, therefore, have little value as a dietary supplement. Raw apricot seeds contain vitamin B15, more oxygen into the tissues.

B17

B17 continue to save your life every day. Apricot seeds are a source of vitamin B17. Dr. Ernst Krebs was the first to identify vitamin B17 and study their properties in 1952. Apricot seeds are taken by many as a cure for cancer because they contain high doses of vitamin B17, an immune system. The stores do not sell "raw" apricot seeds because of attacks by the FDA in such transactions with vitamin B17 and apricot seeds years ago. Finding the right provider to buy your Vitamin B17 is very important.

Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy has never been demonstrated that the therapeutic effect against cancer. Chemotherapy does not affect breast cancer, colon or lung. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are known to damage the fertility of patients, but some targeted drugs Gleevec, commonly known as imatinib, is unknown. Chemotherapy is the poisoning of the rapid growth of cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lung, chemotherapy, radiation therapy can cause, etc., to induce cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy.

Apricot seeds are subject to seasonal availability. Apricot seeds have the highest content of B-17 on the ground. Apricot seeds assist your body to treat cancer in the digestion of proteins, enzymes produced by the pancreas. Apricot seeds are spear and bulls eye, I saw thousands of people and I feel better and live longer than they would if they respond to chemotherapy and / or radiotherapy.

Ripe apricots are some of summer's finest fruits. They're soft, sweet and swollen with coral-hued juice. Don't bake it out in a pie; capture the fresh taste of apricots in homemade apricot sorbet.

This simple sorbet recipe requires only three ingredients and only a minimum of effort. One batch makes a scant quart of sorbet, and that's enough for several small servings. (The recipe can be doubled if your ice cream maker is large enough.)

Scoops of homemade apricot sorbet make a refreshing dessert on an early summer evening. The vibrant color of the sorbet matches the shades of the summer sunset.

Ingredients

* 5 whole, ripe apricots
* 1/3 cup of sugar (adjust this amount depending on how ripe the apricots are; you may need more)
* 2/3 cup of water

Kitchen Supplies

* Knife and cutting surface
* Measuring cups
* Blender
* Ice cream maker

What To Do

1. Halve the apricots, remove the pits, and cut the apricots into chunks. It's okay to leave the skin on.
2. Pour the sugar and water into the blender. Add the apricots.
3. Blend the mixture thoroughly. The mixture should be frothy. There shouldn't be any noticeable flecks of apricot skin left.
4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the machine's directions. With a small gel canister ice cream maker, the mixture will freeze into apricot sorbet about 30 minutes.
5. Serve and eat the sorbet immediately.
6. Freeze any leftovers, but note that sorbet will harden and become difficult to scoop after too long in the freezer.

Variations

* Honeyed sorbet: Try substituting honey for some of the sugar in this apricot sorbet recipe.
Summer fruit, in particular, best eaten fresh from the hands. For example, cooking a ripe peach, juicy seems almost a disservice. Cook, but the goal is perfectly reasonable for an apricot. It is not the first apricots are good they are. But compared to their brothers in the summer, are more powerful, dry and spicy - cooked.

Such as peaches, plums and cherries, apricots, pink family members. Apricot and forth - have grown in China about 4000 years. Even those who are likely to find in the market are yellow-orange, which is the name of the fruit, apricot in color from white to black. The dimensions vary depending on color and flavor.

If for some strange reason, it is tempting to pit, no food. As with almond (apricot based), apricot seeds contain cyanide, which is toxic to humans. You need to provide any thoughts of almonds, but the acid is neutralized by boiling.

Use fresh apricots are not the only way to work the fruits of your meal. Apricot nectar, canned fruit and dry versions offer a variety of flavors more concentrated. Make your choice.

* Mix chopped fresh apricots or dried and crumbled Stilton cheese on a spinach salad. Add a bit of nectar for the apricot sauce.
* Simmer dried apricots, almonds and chopped fresh mint with rice pilaf. Season with pepper and cumin.
* Use apricots instead of apples in a crisp or cobbler. Chopped dried figs.
* Apricots Poached well. Use a simple syrup, ginger and vanilla. Poach until tender, 5 minutes. Decorate with fruit.
* Add chopped dried apricots are a good substitute for dried grapes at all.
* Add chopped apricots and cooked oatmeal. This works especially well for long-range firing, such as steel cut oats - almost apricot crumble and the flavor permeates the entire dish.
* With the apricot nectar, orange juice replace fruit sauce or glaze.
* Make a fresh apricot couscous (again, you can also dry), roasted pumpkin seeds and sliced scallions.

Apricot Chutney

4.3 ml of water
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
Quarter cup sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 / 2 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
8.1 teaspoons of teeth
1.2 teaspoon salt
C. 1.4 teaspoon black pepper
6 ounces dried apricots (20 to 25 pieces), chopped

Maturing in a small saucepan over low heat, combine water, vinegar, sugar, honey, ginger, onion, cloves, salt and pepper and cook uncovered, about 5 minutes, or until onions are soft. Add the dried apricots continue cooking, uncovered, until apricots are very soft and the liquid is reduced again to a syrup, about 40 minutes. Cool completely before serving. It's a perfect recipe for a maximum of 2 days. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until you are probably not very long, so delicious!
The reason for this is that one of the nutrients they contain is amygdalin, also known as vitamin B17. Amygdalin attack cancer cells, helps prevent cancer.

There are a number of foods that contain amygdalin, but have largely been particularly rich in amygdalin of our Western diet. People all over the world who have a diet rich in foods containing amygdalin cancer-free. One of the best and easiest way to ensure amygdalin in their diet with apricot kernel first.

There are few ways to fight cancer. It's a way to build the immune system and is very strong. This is very important because if the immune system is overwhelmed when things go wrong and bad things happen, cancer. Another way to deal with anti-oxidants, which fight carcinogens in the body at risk. Antioxidants help cell reproduction. Amygdalin is the only directly attack cancer cells.

Amygdalin started is a poison - one of the components is cyanide, which is the case. Before you run to read the courts continue to reflect on how it really works. The apricot kernel oil is unique in amygdalin cyanide complex is blocked, which is chemically inert and harmless to normal living tissue. Think of salt (sodium chloride). But he also enclosed common areas in a poison - chlorine. If you eat too much salt in the same time, it would be wrong. Each salt must be used is the salt Himlayan contains nutrients. This also applies to each substance and apricot seeds, but be aware that amygdalin is less toxic than salt and sugar.

Our bodies are creating cancer cells all the time, a fear, but, but generally the least expensive and the immune system to defeat them. There are times, for various reasons, the body of a high exposure to carcinogens or cancer control cells, with a rate that is too large for the immune system to treat multiply. This is where the amygdalin is so different that the immune system and attack cancer cells directly supported. Back to the question of cyanide, is an important enzyme rhodanese. Cancer cells have an enzyme that releases the poison in the amygdalin, and this means that cancer cells are destroyed. Healthy cells contain rhodanese. They contain enzymes release different nutrients and amygdalin, amygdalin as a neutralizing agent is ineffective and does not damage healthy cells free. Neutralized all the poison that seeps into the blood quickly.

For those who have never eaten raw apricot seeds will give you a taste of what to do requires a certain bitterness. This is due to amygdalin / vitamin B17 in seeds, or as it is sometimes called the apricot kernel. It's a good idea to eat something in my stomach when comsuming many apricot seeds. Another way to minimize
the risk of nausea is to eat contain nitrilosides including peaches, apricots, plums, apples, nectarines, cherries and pears for the fruit. These benefits help trace of beta-glucosidase in the saliva, stomach, intestine and can cause nausea neutralize.

For those who have the body of the chemotherapy and / or radiation poisoning, is immensely zap the immune system and you really need to look for supplements to strengthen your backup system. Carrot / spinach juice is a great way to increase your system naturally. There are some good natural products available to get you back on the path to restoring good health and a weakened immune system.

B17 There are pills that can be taken together with apricot and amygdalin, is also available in injectable form for a particular stage of cancer are available. The tablets are deririved B17 from apricot kernels and can be used for the prevention and treatment of cancer.

You may consider integrating the system seeds/b17 apricot. I heard that prevention is better than cure. The cost of treating cancer with conventional medicine is thousands of years, but life without cancer is invaluable.

Dumplings:
1/2 pound fresh curd cheese, such as topfen, quark, or pot cheese
1 large egg
1 tablespoon sugar
Pinch salt
11/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon melted butter
12 whole fresh apricots
12 sugar cubes
Coating:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs, dried out
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Sauce:
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 lemon, juiced
Confectioners' sugar, for dusting, if desired

Place the cheese in some cheesecloth or several layers of paper towels and let it drain for 5 to 10 minutes, pressing gently, to remove excess moisture.
With a mixer, beat the cheese until smooth. Add the egg and continue to beat until incorporated. Sprinkle in the sugar and salt, and then gradually add the flour; continue to mix until a dough begins to form. Add the melted butter and mix just until the dough holds together when patted with your hands, it will look pretty wet. Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for several hours or up to overnight, the dough will stiffen as it chills.

Using a knife, make a slit down the seam of the apricot and carefully pull out the pit, keeping the fruit in tact. Stick a sugar cube inside the apricot where the pit was and squeeze the apricot back together to close it up tightly. The sugar cube melts inside the apricot when you cook it.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Lightly flour a rolling pin and work surface. Roll the dough out into a thin circle and cut out 12 circles with a 4-inch ring cutter. Place an apricot in the center of the dough and carefully bring the edges together to completely enclose the fruit and form a dumpling; make sure there are not any tears or holes in the dough. Working in batches, gently lower the dumplings into the simmering water; they should not be touching or crowded. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes; the dumplings will sink to the bottom of the pot and then rise to the surface. Carefully remove the dumplings from the water with a strainer.

In a large nonstick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the bread crumbs, sugar, and cinnamon, cook and stir for a couple of minutes until the bread crumbs are toasty and golden. Lay the bread crumbs out on a sheet pan or plate and roll the apricot dumplings in the browned crumbs to coat evenly.

In a small bowl, mix the sour cream, brown sugar, and lemon juice together. Serve the apricot dumplings with the sweet-sour cream sauce on the side and a dusting of confectioners' sugar if desired.
How to make dried apricot jam?

Soak 100 g of dried apricots overnight in just enough water to cover. Add 100 g of sugar and simmer slowly until the apricots are really soft. Add more water a spoonful at a time if in danger of burning and stir. Cool, then push through a sieve and it will be fine for tart making.

Personally, I would just buy a jar of jam or use any jam to hand. It really does not HAVE to be apricot after all. Good luck!
Does anyone have a recipe for Sachertorte that doesn't call for apricot jam?

The apricot is part of what makes it a Sachertorte. You can replace it with almost any jam but it won't be the same. Raspberry would go well with the other flavors. As to an easy recipe for one? Does not exist. It is a very involved cake with many steps. To not do them would mean you are not making a Sachertorte ... sorry!
How can I make amaretto extract. I have the apricot seeds. How is the extract made?

Actually, while Amaretto has an almond flavor, it's usually made from apricot kernels. I'm being paranoid, but be careful making extracts from stones / kernels - they can contain poisons in concentration. Indeed, the smell of 'bitter almonds' is produced by cyanide, which is often present in small quanitites.

Is Apricot nectar similar to jam?

(1) Apricot nectar: Apricot nectar is a concentrate of apricots mixed with water and sugar. Apricot nectar is very alike Apricot Juice.

(2) What is "Nectar"? Nectar is a juice drink that starts with whole fruit and juice, with other natural ingredients added. Nectars are typically thicker than other juices and drinks, because they are made from fruit purees.

They are available in the US, generally in the supermarket with the canned juices. Or you could use pureed apricots, add juice (or water and a little sugar) until it is the consistency of a thin syrup, slightly thicker than a juice.
Can I save my apricot tree that does not grow any leaf?

If the apricot tree is planted in the ground, dig a thin trench round about the dripline, in a circle-- just where the outer branches reach out the farthest. Into this trench put well-rotted (l month old) banana hulls or leaves from a garden center; they should be ground up. Cover this with earth or potting soil. Water well. Sounds like your tree needs potassium.

How to save my apricot tree?

Take a few of the leaves to your County Extension Agency. They should be able to give you an idea of what is going on with your tree.
My english mastiff has an apricot colored coat, but her 15 other brothers and sisters are fawn why?

It's perfectly acceptable, it happens. Do you know if her dad is fawn as well? If both of her parents are fawn, the chance of an apricot pup is 4% while the chance of fawn is 95%. (The remaining 1% is brindle.) If her dad was apricot, it was a 47% chance of an apricot pup. If her dad was brindle, it was a 5% chance. So, while it's very possible and isn't unheard of, I'd say that if both her parents are fawn, you do have an original girl! (; Actually, come to think of it, if both her parents are fawn, she really does fit the 4% approximation closely.. She's one of a litter of sixteen, and one sixteenth is about 6%.
Is it harmful to twist an apricot and a fuji apple tree together?
I dont think it will hurt ,but youll need a big pot to keep them from becoming root bound. many years ago i planted an oak and a pine as they grew i twisted them together, after a few years the oak choked out the pine.you should see the oak now it almost looks like a spring.
Can I Use Apricot Preserves As A Pie Filling?

Yes, any fruit preserves would work in a pie. Sounds delicious :)

Can you grow a plant from an (example) and apricot seed purchased in a grocery store in the fruit?

Most of the seeds will be hybrid and purposely can't reproduce. Besides it is such a hassle and would take forever, so its best to start your own tree with cuttings from a friend's fruit tree, if that is the route you want to go. I buy small trees and my little tiny five fruit variety orchard with only five trees is growing splendidly and produces nice fruit.

Growing my apricot tree from a pit?

The fact that it flowered is encouraging, but it may not set fruit. Most free-stone pitted fruit trees are sold on a special root stock to which branches of specific types of a given fruit tree are grafted in. This assures that the mature tree will set fruit and will be the best type of tree for the climate of a particular area.

As the other answerer mentioned, you may have to wait a long time to get the tree to actually start fruiting. Even then, the tree may just flower but not set fruit.
